1. Have each student bring in 1 large paper bag.
2. Cut the paper bag open as if you were going to cover a book with it.

3. Cut the bottom flap off so you have a rectangle.

4. Use permanent markers to draw table on the paper bag with 6 columns and 4 rows.
5. Focus questions should be written along the top row and sources will be cited along the column on the left side.



How does this work?

Student should be given 5 focus questions to base their research on. They will be looking for the answers to each question the various sources that they use. When they find answers, they should write the information in the correct column of the question that they are answering in the row of the source that they are using. The purpose is for the students to keep track of what sources they are getting their information from.
